These provisions\naim to protect the rights of any party\nwho was not able to submit his requests to the Qatar Sports Arbitration\nTribunal during the period prior to its activation. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe General Assembly\u2019s\nresolution included a transitional provision extending the time limits\nstipulated in the Arbitration Rules and Regulations, where the last day for the\nsubmission of any request for arbitration will be November 15, 2019.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn accordance with this resolution,\nall requests for arbitration prior to the QSAT\u2019s activation will be registered\nuntil November 15, 2019, after which &nbsp;no\nrequests for arbitration will be accepted. Furthermore, the time limit for\nfiling the grounds for appeal shall commence from the date in which the request\nfor arbitration is submitted for the transitional provisions\u2019 duration.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn his statement Mr.\nIbrahim Khalil Al Muhannadi, President of Qatar Sports Arbitration Foundation,\nsaid that the resolution adopted by the General Assembly aims to address the\nperiod between the QSAF incorporation and its activation and to ensure that\ndisputed parties rights are not lost. Mr. Al-Muhannadi added that these\ntransitional provisions will apply on disputes prior to QSAT\u2019s activation\nduring which parties did not have the\nopportunity to bring their claims before QSAF.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, Mr. Ibrahim Khalil Al-Mohannadi announced that the General Secretariat of Qatar Sports Arbitration Tribunal has registered the first request for arbitration and referred it to the competent division to commence the arbitration procedures.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qatar Sports Arbitration Foundation announced that the General Assembly has approved transitional provisions to cover the period between its incorporation and the activation.
